XD Agency took home two Experience Design & Technology Awards presented by the editors of Event Marketer.

The 2019 Experience Design & Technology Awards are the world’s only recognition program honoring the best use of design, social media, and event technology to enhance live experiences. This year, hundreds of entries were received spanning 19 categories.

In the category of Best Stage Experience, XDA took home GOLD for the agency’s work on Cisco’s “YouMake Possible” campaign. This fully-immersive experience, put attendees at the center of the action, incorporating an incredible art installation, rock ‘n’roll light show, and illuminated light fixtures that reacted organically to video and audio effects. The central scenic element — a responsive network of illuminated tubes reacting organically to video and audio — built on the outer screens to envelop the 13,000 attendees and strategically pull focus to the speaker on stage and content on screen.

In the category of Best Touch-OrGesture-Based Event Interactive, XDA took home BRONZE for the agency’s work on Anaplan’s “CPX Immersive Tunnel” campaign. To build excitement amongst guests at the Connected Planning Conference, Anaplan constructed a motion-responsive tunnel, which became the event’s main attraction and true centerpiece. The tunnel used draped LED mesh that was triggered by depth-sensing Intel RealSense cameras to produce an animated display of light and sound, all driven by human movement.
