Bank of America Book Wins Best in Category
The XD Agency’s work on Bank of America’s Art Conservation Vol. II book earned Best in Category honors at the Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) Star of Excellence Awards.
The award recognizes exceptional print projects, with a level of craftsmanship unsurpassed by any other entry in the category. And the Art Conservation Vol. II book fit the bill.
The Bank of America Art Conservation Project is a unique program that provides grants to nonprofit museums throughout the world to conserve historically or culturally significant works of art that are in danger of degeneration, including works that have been designated as national treasures.
The eight-year-old project has had the honor of being part of the conservation of more than 120 projects in 30 countries on six continents. These projects represent different art movements, styles, media, and time periods, but they all represent the creativity and passion of people throughout the world over hundreds, even thousands, of years.
All of the printed and digital materials created to support this program are museum-quality, serving as the luxury arm of the Bank of America Arts & Culture program. The centerpiece: an ultra-luxe coffee table book that is presented as a gift to attendees at executive events. The first volume of the Art Conservation book was produced in 2014, covering Bank of America conservation projects from 2010 – 2013; this award-winning second volume was produced last year, covering projects from 2014 – 2016.
